Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in the month of January in 1974. Her most popular role is Bo, from Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk is an actress from Canada who was born in Fredericton New Brunswick. She is the daughter of Peter an academic and Ilkay Silk, a prominent actor, director, producer, playwright as well as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna was a child and watched her mother working and going to practice sessions for plays. Silk featured in a number of commercials while she was young. In 1997, she received a bachelor's degree at St. Thomas University. Silk's television work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica and she won the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009 she was cast as Bo Dennis, the lead Bo Dennis in the series Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk became pregnant during filming of season three's finale, and revealed this to viewers in the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. On June 4 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on the fourth season and on the 20th of June 2013 Silk tweeted that she was ready to return to the series.
